The Waddle, Saddle & Pedal (formerly Waddle & Saddle) is held in Killarney’s Cambanoora Gorge on the last weekend in August.
It is a mixed trek for Walkers, Horse Riders and Cyclists along the historic Condamine River Road in the beautiful Condamine Gorge near Killarney. The road is part of the Bicentennial National Trail.
On the day of the Waddle and Saddle the road is closed to traffic and participants follow in the tracks of the bullock teams and pioneers through the soaring cliffs and 14 River Crossings of the Gorge, enjoying a Billy Tea and Damper along the way before returning home to a Sausage Sizzle andSoup Lunch. The entire trek is 24km.The event is a fundraiser for the Killarney Show & Rodeo Society and run with the support of the Killarney Lions Club and the Cambanoora Gorge Management Group.
Condamine River Road will be closed to all but local traffic from its intersection with Brosnan’s Road to its intersection with Spring Creek Road from 7am to 4pm on the day. KSRS employs traffic controllers to assist and this is our major cost for the event.
