DESCRIPTION:The Killarney and Border Districts Trail Ride is a premier event on the trail ride calendar. The trail ride is hosted by the Killarney P-10 State School Parents and Citizens Association but rallies the support and hospitality of the whole town to provide an unforgettable and challenging experience for riders who dare. \nThe trail winds its way through the scenic\, high country from Killarney to the New South Wales/Queensland border and back. And when you thought all the fun was over\, country hospitality and good old-fashioned fun takes over with a good feed and night entertainment of catching up on the day’s trials and tribulations. \nFor the less adventuresome\, there is a Peewee Track and a Novice Track. \n2019 RIDE DATES – 30TH AND 31ST MARCH \n

DESCRIPTION:Laughing friends and family picnicking on the green lawn; cool jazz music floating on the breeze; the still\, cool lake reflecting the warm colours of autumn and the blue mountain ranges. \nPicnic Basket Day is a fun\, family day for locals and visitors to experience the natural beauty of Killarney and the surrounding region while enjoying wonderful local produce. \nAnd what lovelier spot for the event than the beautiful gardens of Melrose Station\, renowned across the region? \nVisitors are invited to bring their picnic blanket and chairs and set up a spot in the grounds.  A variety of food stalls will offer BBQ\, baked potatoes\, Devonshire morning tea\, cupcakes\, fruit salad and ice cream. \nRaffles and local featured musicians add to the relaxed event. \nProceeds from the day will go to Livin’\, a not-for-profit organisation using apparel\, events and motivational programs to get people talking about mental health and suicide prevention. \nKillarney’s Picnic Basket Day will be held on Sunday 7 April 2019\, from 10am to 4pm at Melrose Station.   For more information contact 0437 109 912. \n

SUMMARY:Waddle\, Saddle and Pedal
DESCRIPTION: \nThe Waddle\, Saddle & Pedal (formerly Waddle & Saddle) is held in Killarney’s Cambanoora Gorge on the last weekend in August. \nIt is a mixed trek for Walkers\, Horse Riders and Cyclists along the historic Condamine River Road in the beautiful Condamine Gorge near Killarney. \nThe road is part of the Bicentennial National Trail. \nOn the day of the Waddle and Saddle the road is closed to traffic and participants follow in the tracks of the bullock teams and pioneers through the soaring cliffs and 14 River Crossings of the Gorge\, enjoying a Billy Tea and Damper along the way before returning home to a Sausage Sizzle and Soup Lunch.
